Description
Botulax 200 U is a high-purity formulation of Clostridium botulinum toxin type A, manufactured by Hugel Pharma in Korea. Each vial delivers 200 Units of active toxin combined with human serum albumin (0.5 mg) and sodium chloride (0.9 mg). Clinically comparable to Allergan® Botox®, Botulax temporarily relaxes targeted muscles to smooth expression lines, refine facial contours, and manage hyperhidrosis.

Dosage & Administration
Reconstitute with sterile, preservative-free 0.9 % saline (e.g., 200 U/5 mL for a 40 U/mL concentration). Gently swirl—avoid vigorous shaking—and use within 24 hours. Inject intramuscularly with a 24–30 G needle, tailoring the dose to the indication:
- Glabellar lines: Typically 20 U in five injection sites
- Blepharospasm: 1.25–2.5 U per site
- Spasticity (diplegia): 6 U/kg, not to exceed 200 U per session
Storage & Shelf Life
Store unopened vials at 2–8 °C; do not freeze. Shelf life is 36 months from manufacture. Maintain cold-chain integrity during shipping to preserve efficacy.
